Wellington Lambert

Wellington was born in Bae Como, Quebec, raised in Kapuskasing in northern Ontario while spending summers at the family home, on Grand Manan Island, New Brunswick in the Bay of Funday. Formally trained in vocal music, he performed for a decade in the 90's with his a cappella group the Wellington Lambert Trio and has recorded three albums highlighting his diverse vocal abilities. As an author, he published his first book Donna Farmer and is in daily artistic need to express himself through his visual art.
Wellington created his own uniquely developed artistic process and style for his visual art. His method and medium utilizes a sculpted form of raised images on wood that he describes as plaster lithography and acrylic paint. As diverse as his other artistic capabilities he draws on a simplified look at life around him, from landscapes, trees, children playing hockey, to a series of black and white paintings capturing historic snapshots of life.
Wellington has been commissioned to do pieces for international clients. His art can be found in corporate offices as well as homes in Canada, the United States, Europe and Australia. He has shown at the Hummingbird Centre, Chameleon Gallery, Wildbird, Kingston Glass Gallery, and the Cube Gallery. As well his art can be seen in a number of feature films, TV commercials and featured on lifestyle decorating shows.

Wellington lives a cottage lifestyle on the Island of Prince Edward County, Ontario, with his partner, their four boys, two dogs and cat.
